Four 4000ers in one day — Nadelgrat

When my friend @unsettledfeet asked us if we wanted to go to Saas-Fee and climb the Nadelgrat traverse, @jostkobusch and I were quick to say yes.

We did, however, underestimate the effort of climbing four “easy” 4000ers in one day, without acclimatization and then going 2700m back down to the car right after 😂 In ultra there’s a popular philosophy which is all about “time on feet” — and in mountaineering you definitely get that!

Only 14 km round trip but 18 hours on the move (+ 3,5 hours the previous afternoon going up to the hut) with a quick stop for emergency pasta at the hut on the way down, and then driving home right after. Can’t remember the last time I was so happy to be reunited with my bed again 😴
